My Approach to Helping

You may find your emotions to be overwhelming, or even consuming. It's as if they override your decisions. When things are bad, they feel really bad. Afraid of your own feelings, you find yourself going to great lengths to avoid them all together. Maybe, traditional talk therapy just has not worked for you. Perhaps you are looking for an approach to therapy that dives deeper. Tired of trying to force change? Healing is never brought about by force. Instead, through the understanding of neuroplasticity (the brain's ability to change), we will meet the natural conditions that foster organic growth and healing.

The aim of my treatment is to offer deep understanding while employing proven methods to facilitate and accelerate the healing process. I believe in mending wounds through the guide of compassion, understanding, acceptance, & neuro-scientific approaches. We are not wired to cope with life alone. Even if we are not "alone," sometimes the ones within our support system cannot fully support or understand us.

As a therapist (and also a person), I know finding the right therapist can be daunting, so please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have, or for a free consult, which can be booked directly through my website I can be reached by text, email, or phone call. I would love to venture with you on your healing journey!

More Info About My Practice

I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) which helps in processing distressing emotions, sensations, and memories, leveraging the brain's innate healing mechanisms. It empowers clients to overcome obstacles and achieve lasting emotional well-being by resolving trauma and related issues.

I also incoporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my therapeutic approach, which enables me to provide comprehensive support for individuals navigating complex emotions, interpersonal challenges, and self-destructive behaviors. By integrating DBT, I offer clients practical skills and strategies to manage distress, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and cultivate a fulfilling life.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am skilled with helping those who have become stuck in their healing process. I aid those who have become immersed in a cycle of emotional and behavioral patterns that feel out of their control. Early childhood and attatchment wounds are important to me. I also have training and skill in helping those who have endured emotionally traumatic experiences and need help moving forward with the healing process.
