Most of my clients struggle with high-functioning anxiety or depression and might say something like "Everything looks perfectly fine on the outside, but inside I am secretly struggling." I help my clients understand what they're feeling and identify the root causes of these emotions to improve the quality of their relationship to themselves and to others. My approach is interpersonal, which means I strongly believe in the value of the therapist-client relationship. I trained in EMDR to treat trauma. Additionally, I use evidence-based strategies from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing to help my clients work through their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
