My Approach to Helping
Through my training and personal life experiences, I have found that balance is imperative to becoming the person one wants to be. Whether this is balancing the many areas of our lives or working on balancing the delicate equilibrium of acceptance and change in the face of difficult times. The theories that have shaped my practice (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) allow me to guide my clients to be aware of their emotions, be present in their everyday lives, and shift the behaviors that are no longer working for them. I believe we are all doing the best we can at this moment in our lives and we can continue to grow to do better.
