My Approach to Helping
Therapy can be helpful to everyone, especially if you are struggling with everyday stressors, relationship problems, have noticed changes in your mood, or are just feeling "stuck." Life can be challenging and sometimes difficult to navigate on one's own. My role is to offer you unbiased, professional support in overcoming your challenges and achieving your goals. We will examine past and present life events and will work on building deeper understanding of who you are and how you relate to others. If you are struggling with negative symptoms, such as sadness, anxiety, anger, or mood fluctuations, I will offer you better understanding and tools for reducing them. If you are finding yourself engaging in the same problematic behaviors or destructive relationships, I will help you to uncover the roots of these patterns and to develop new ways of coping and relating. I will tailor my therapeutic approach to fit your unique needs and most often draw on Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, and Psychodynamic techniques. I am compassionate, nonjudgemental, and highly dedicated to the work I do with my clients.
