My Approach to Helping

I understand that reaching out to a therapist and starting therapy can be challenging and scary! I'm here to help you process your feelings and find insight into why you might be struggling. We'll also come up with a clear plan to translate that insight into actionable steps towards feeling better.

I offer a warm and open approach to tackling issues and work with you at your own pace. I let you take the initiative and steer the direction of therapy, while still challenging negative cognitions and beliefs when necessary. Since therapy is so personal, I cater my approach to fit each individual's goals and personality. I see therapy as a team effort, where we work collaboratively together to help you feel more equipped to deal with all of life's stressors.

I specialize in treating those who are struggling with life transitions, depression, anxiety, communication issues, and relationship conflicts.

More Info About My Practice

Revitalize offers niche services for those who are wishing to work on communication, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. As a systems therapist, I feel like all of these are connected. Together, we'll work on unpacking relationship history and trauma and sources of low-self esteem. We'll tackle people-pleasing tendencies and difficulties with boundary-setting that cause anxiety and stress. We'll hone communication skills by practicing assertiveness and increasing objectivity. We'll work on feeling capable, centered, and empowered.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being a psychotherapist because it's the only career that offers this level of in-depth connection with people. I truly love what I do, and feel it's an honor and privilege to be a part of others' journeys.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My own struggles have increased my ability to have empathy and connect with those who are struggling and have also provided me with the motivation to continue to help others who have gone through similar experiences. I have personally struggled with depression, anxiety, and infertility. I felt completely lost as a young adult post-college, and that's why I'm especially passionate about helping young adults navigate this difficult time in life.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Studies have shown time and time again that the #1 predictor of success in therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist. I'm a true believer that if we're a good fit, we can work toward your goals as a team and you will experience a decrease in symptoms. If you are struggling, finding someone that you can truly trust to help you through is SO important.
