My Approach to Helping
Do you or your child or adolescent feel stressed or easily overwhelmed? I provide safe compassionate support to help you significantly decrease your stress symptoms. These may include anxiety, depression, behavioral issues and chronic pain.
I practice Somatic Experiencing, a psychobiological method that rewires your brain and nervous system. Together we will safely explore and work to help you regulate your nervous system. Clients experience a profound ability to feel calmer and safer in their body and are much better able to take care of themselves.
An important benefit of our work is a deep accessing to your natural inner resilience. You can recover more quickly from being upset, and also prevent becoming upset with greater and greater consistency.
I help my child and adolescent clients to connect to their inner resilience and happiness. They really enjoy coming to our sessions, which include art therapy, sandtray and Somatic Experiencing.
My approach is interactive, and I have a very gentle, kind, and direct therapy style.
I have lived my life committed to my own healing and development as well as my clients', including over 25 years of meditation, yoga, personal therapy, and professional training in a wide variety of practices and therapy methods. I have come to see my Somatic Experiencing work as both deeply healing and profoundly helpful for myself and my clients.
