My Approach to Helping
My name is Patrick O’Reilly and I am a clinical psychologist. My areas of clinical interest are Depression, Anxiety, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. I am especially focused on trauma as applied to Undue Influence, which includes abusive relationships, bullying, trauma related to immigration, violence, membership in abusive secular and nonsecular groups, and abusive work environments. I have taught all-day training to psychotherapists throughout the United States on these subjects, taught a doctoral course on Undue Influence, and frequently testify as an expert witness in courts on depression, trauma, and undue influence. I am on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. My clinical practice is empirically grounded with a cognitive-behavioral and humanistic approach.
