My Approach to Helping
My clients come to me for two main reasons: either they are not enjoying motherhood because their mental health is suffering (due to depression, anxiety, birth trauma, mom burnout, anger) or they are not enjoying motherhood because they are unable to manage their child's challenging behaviors. The mom in the first scenario finds herself plagued with anxiety, sadness, disappointment and exhaustion. The mom in the second scenario loves her child, but doesn't always like them. She yells more than she likes and feels anger, resentment and guilt that she can't do better.
You're here because you share the same struggles. Despite being a loving mom who wants the world for her child, you aren't the mom you want to be. Instead of motherhood being a time of joy and ultimate fulfillment, you're plagued with disappointment, worry and guilt. You love your child(ren), but you are not loving motherhood. You’re here because you’re tired of being tired and overwhelmed. You’re ready to feel confident, empowered and to actually enjoy and feel connected to your kids! I want that for you too.
I provide individual therapy for postpartum challenges and mom burnout, couples therapy for new parents and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (behavioral therapy) for parents of littles with behavior challenges. If you'd like to learn more about how I can help you gain confidence and find joy in parenting, visit my website to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation. I offer 247 online scheduling, electronic paperwork, and HIPAA compliant video sessions to make accessing help as easy as ever.

My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to help you see what you are already doing well and to build upon the skills you already have to make lifelong changes. You can expect me to be your biggest advocate and cheerleader while also gently challenging and nudging you towards change. I'm a big proponent of solutions-focused work and skill building. My ultimate goal is that you have the skills and support to manage life's challenges without therapy (although I'm always here if and when you need me).
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Therapy is a huge investment of money, time and effort. You might think that it might be easier to just deal with these issues on your own. I want to remind any parent considering therapy that If nothing changes, nothing changes. You are here for a reason. You want to enjoy parenting and feel more connected to your kids. Although therapy is a huge investment, the rewards you stand to gain are even bigger! An investment into your health and well-being is an investment into the health and well-being of your entire family!
