My Approach to Helping

My expertise is working with women and children of all ages. My passion is to support those who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, and mood issues. Life is full of challenges, and I am here to help you or your child through them. I strive to create a safe space that will allow for the most effective counseling to be had. The best therapy takes place when you or a child can feel a positive connection with the counselor. I enjoy working with parents and children together to facilitate a more healthy parent-child dynamic as well. Now is the time to make a positive change in your life, and I can't wait to join the journey!

My experience in working with children and adolescents is extensive. I have completed a certificate course with Maternal Mental Health, and go above and beyond the required 100 hours of training to be a Board Certified Counselor. I pride myself on learning and growing along with my clients and feel that I learn just as much from them, as they do me.

More Info About My Practice

Therapy is serious, but it should be an enjoyable experience. I want you to look forward to our appointments, and I think my style allows that. I hope that talking to your therapist becomes as routine and normal as treating yourself to something special.

My colleague and friend started Viaggio Counseling & Wellness, with children, adolescents, and women in mind. Our minds hold so much power in our lives, so how about you give it the care and compassion it deserves. I hope to create an atmosphere that is enjoyable and that becomes a part of your life.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

I have heard such horror stories that really disappoint me as a professional in this field. When my client tells me about their bad experience, I really commend them on not giving up. Therapy can be extremely beneficial and it is about finding a therapist that you can build a working relationship with and a comfort level that allows you to open up and address sensitive topics. I am a therapist who doesn't put on a show or an act. I am who I am, and my clients have expressed appreciation for being genuine. I learn from each client, and I have no problem with a client pointing out when I have made a mistake or something came out wrong, in fact, I invite it. Each day we grow as individuals in our professional and personal lives. I invite you to take the journey with me.

Groups I Work With

As a Board Certified Counselor, I have 13 years of experience working within the therapy field. I have a passion for working with children, adolescents and women. I am currently the supervisor of a Child & Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program which I have worked at for 7 years. Before that I worked as a behavior specialist and mobile therapist for children and adolescents. I have worked with adults in an online practice for over 5 years. As if being a woman isn't challenging enough, becoming a mother and struggling with infertility, really allowed me to realize my passion for helping and supporting other women (not just moms!)
