My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I am a Board Certified Counselor and my office is located within the heart of the South Hills in Upper St. Clair. My passion is working with adolescents, motherchild relationships, and women in general. I provide support to women who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self esteem, fertility issues, career issues, and especially women in pregnancy and postpartum dealing with the major life adjustment of becoming a parent. As a parent myself and being involved heavily in the school system, I understand the stress that adolescents are under and a protective factor is a strong relationship with a parentguardian. My approach to helping is one that allows you or your child to lead the way, while I provide my open, honest thoughts, while asking questions to help the individual gain more clarity on what brings them into therapy. Having an outside perspective allows for new insight and understanding. Life is full of challenges, and I am here to help you through them. I strive to create a safe and relaxing space that will allow for the most effective counseling to be had. The best therapy takes place when you feel a positive connection with the counselor. Reaching out for support is often the hardest part. I won't make you wait and will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours!
More Info About My Practice
I could not be more thrilled to finally have opened Viaggio Counseling & Wellness with one of my close friends and long time colleagues Brianna Weber LCSW. We are a women-centered, charismatic, and empathetic practice that is skilled in working with women of all ages and stages of life. I provide in person therapy!
Therapy is serious, but it should be an enjoyable experience. I want you to look forward to our appointments, and I think my style allows that. The office has the most amazing feel to it, and the space is one that is warm and welcoming. I hope that talking to your therapist becomes as routine and normal as treating yourself to something special.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help
If you are getting ready to start therapy, it can feel pretty overwhelming. Some people are hesitant to start talking with someone because they don't feel like going through their entire life story, or maybe they just don't know exactly what's wrong, but know that they can feel better in life. My process is pretty simple. I talk with my clients about what brought them into counseling, we identify 2 or 3 goals, and then start talking about one of those goals. It's amazing where the conversation will go with that simple format! I am all about digging deep, or just staying present focused andor future oriented. You will lead the sessions, and I am there to guide and see where I can take it. I love to give feedback and perspective which clients appreciate from a neutral person in their lives.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
I have heard such horror stories that really disappoint me as a professional in this field. When my client tells me about their bad experience, I really commend them on not giving up. Therapy can be extremely beneficial and it is about finding a therapist that you can build a working relationship with and a comfort level that allows you to open up and address sensitive topics. I am a therapist who doesn't put on a show or an act. I am who I am, and my clients have expressed appreciation for being genuine. I learn from each client, and I have no problem with a client pointing out when I have made a mistake or something came out wrong, in fact, I invite it. Each day we grow as individuals in our professional and personal lives. I invite you to take the journey with me.
