My Approach to Helping

For over 30 years, I have helped people transition out of relationship challenges, despair, anxiety, self-limiting beliefs or loss of purpose. People tell me that I"get them" and that they feel safe with me. I work particularly well with highly sensitive and creative people and am happy to help guide anyone into a better life or relationship. I graduated with a Masters from the University of Chicago specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and then received advanced training in Hypnotherapy, Art Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I offer short and long-term counseling for singles, pre-marital, married or non-married couples.

More Info About My Practice

My fee is $170 for individual counseling, $180 for couples therapy and $190 for family therapy. I also offer sliding fees when I have them available. We can discuss this during the first session. Currently, I am using Teletherapy with my clients as it is both safe and effective. Talk Therapy can take you out of your head and into connection and better relationships. Please don't hesitate to call or e.mail me if you think I might be a good fit for you or someone you know.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

It is so gratifying to witness someone who has felt disempowered, anxious or depressed become more confident, calmer and more hopeful. And, to watch a couple move from an unsatisfying relationship to a loving and gratifying one is just the best. So many people struggle in our culture and I often think that if they just had one person who was patient, kind and accepting of them, they would transform. Psychotherapy is not quick nor easy. But, the therapeutic benefits are invaluable.

Groups I Work With

Clients tell met that I "get them" and that they feel safe with me. I love working with people who have relationships challenges; both finding love and keeping it. For over 30 years, I have helped singles and couples move into more gratifying relationships with their significant other, family, co-workers and friends. Also, I am passionate about empowering those who feel anxious or stuck and work particularly well with Highly Sensitive clients both artistic and otherwise who find life and people challenging. For those who have experienced trauma or neglect, I provide a safe space to tell your story, be heard and move through it.
