My Approach to Helping
For over 30 years, I have helped people transition out of relationship challenges, despair, anxiety, self-limiting beliefs or loss of purpose. I have been told that people feel I "get them" and that they feel safe working with me. I work particularly well with highly sensitive and creative people and am happy to help guide anyone into a better life or relationship. I graduated with a Masters from the University of Chicago specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and then received advanced training in Hypnotherapy, Art Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. As a result, I have a number of ways to work with people. I offer short and long-term counseling for singles, pre-marital, married or non-married couples.
More Info About My Practice
My fee is $160 for individual counseling, $170 for couples therapy and $180 for family therapy. I also offer a sliding feel scale when appropriate in light of the pandemic. We can discuss this during the first session. Currently, I am using Teletherapy with my clients as it is both safe and effective. Feel free to chat with me if you think I might be a good fit for you. Teletherapy can take you out of your head and into connection.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
It is so gratifying to witness someone who has felt disempowered, anxious or depressed become more confident, calmer and more hopeful. So many people struggle in our culture and I often think that if they just had one person who was patient, kind and accepting of them, they would transform. Psychotherapy is not quick nor easy. But, the therapeutic benefits are invaluable.
