My Approach to Helping

HolisticTranspersonal Approach
My therapeutic approach is individualized, and I use multiple modalities. I have experience working with such issues as anxiety, depression, bullying, academic issues, abuse, multigenerational trauma, and substance abuse. However, all of my work could be described as having a transpersonal framework. Transpersonal therapy takes a holistic approach, addressing mental, physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual needs, with an emphasis on a healthy spirit in healing. A balance of mind-body-soul can help one lead a balanced life. Good health, optimal nutrition, positive relationships, and engagement in creative endeavors are essential elements to living a fulfilling life. In our work together, I will help you explore your goals and achieve a sense of well being.

Kid-\"Centic\"
I have experience working in school systemsprivate practice in the Central Coast and Bay Area, and have worked with youth of all ages (K-6, pre-teens and teens). I enjoy the wisdom and creativity of these age groups. With the right level of family support and engagement, I have witnessed significant positive changes with young people.

Family Focused
The family can be one of the innate resources that can be transformed to influence our lives in a positive manner. Strong families can help facilitate clients progress and serve as a springboard for positive ways of being. Typical therapy consists of both individual and family counseling when warranted.
