My Approach to Helping
MiKayla Springer is a Licensed Professional Counselor with interest areas in trauma, anxiety/depression, & self-image. Over the past 5 years, she has gained experience working with different populations and ages. She enjoys working with adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and adults. Her passion is to make others feel safe, seen, and heard. MiKayla will help you navigate through the challenges of life and collaborate with you to help you understand and manage your emotions, uncover how your past impacts your present, and develop effective coping skills. She completed her Masters in Counseling at Cairn University in Langhorne, PA. MiKayla utilizes multiple treatment approaches including psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy. Her goal is to help you uncover the root of your problems in a safe and accepting environment where you feel heard and seen. Often, our emotions are like waves. Sometimes they hit our toes, sometimes we are knee-deep, and sometimes they consume us. But a wave always returns to the ocean. Counseling provides the space for you to feel and process these emotions rather than burying them deep inside. MiKayla is confident that she can work alongside you and support you on your journey.
