My Approach to Helping
In my practice, I seek to create a trusting environment--to see and support my clients just as they are, without any judgment. I am both warm and supportive and use a direct and authentic communication style to build a strong therapeutic relationship. My hope is to help you clearly identify their goals, build insight, overcome barriers, and live a more vibrant and meaningful life.
I am experienced working with depression, anxiety, and addiction. My practice is grounded in science and the therapeutic relationship. I draw heavily on mindfulness as I believe cultivating present moment awareness is a precursor for building skills, strengthening one's sense of self, and ultimately choosing how to best move forward.
Building a solid and authentic working relationship is fundamental to effective therapy and is of utmost importance to me. I offer free 30 min consultations so that we can get a better sense of how we would work together and to help you determine how you would like to move forward.
