My Approach to Helping

If something in your life is persistently asking for your attention, I will help you give that part of your life the attention it needs - compassionately and at your own pace. I have a special interest in working with gifted adults and adolescents, as well as with executives, IT, medical, legal, and other professionals seeking to explore their emotions or tensions and achieve greater life satisfaction. That said, you are welcome to contact me regardless of your particular background or challenges.
You may be feeling confused about where to take your life or career next; or you may get overwhelmed by anxiety or depression; your past trauma may be asking to be healed; or perhaps you have been experiencing stress-related physical symptoms. My job will be to help you explore these inner tensions, release them and significantly improve your life as a result.
My approach is patient, yet active and goal-oriented. A lot of our work will be about being in an interpersonal space of respect, curiosity, and possibility. We will explore your present life and relevant past history; you will learn better ways of being present with your body and with the anxious, depressed, or hurting parts of you; and ultimately our goal will be to help you get unstuck and change in the way that is needed for a better life.
Message me to book a free initial consultation. I look forward to helping you.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

How to find the right therapist for yourself? Do you look at their credentials? Years in practice? The particular therapeutic approach they use? What qualities of a therapist are *actually* predictive of how effective they will be in helping you? I answer these questions in my comprehensive (and short) article on finding a good therapist:
