My Approach to Helping

I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you andor your loved one to explore life's ultimate concerns, inclucing freedom, isolation, meaninglessness, and death.

Serving as the foundation of our work together are existential questions such as "Who am I?" "How do I make meaning out of suffering?" "What is my place in the universe?" and "How do I respond to physical, spiritual, and relational dying and death?"

My individuals and couples thrive in this space of reflection, acceptance, forgiveness, and renewal.

I specialize in existential, attachment-based, depth psychotherapy. I help you identify how your past impacts your today by addressing early childhood attachments, fulfillments, and possible traumas. Our work allows you to confront your existential concerns and replace maladaptive defense mechanisms with adaptive responses.

You have the answers to your concerns. I walk alongside you as a guide, while you explore your dreams, inhibitions, fears, desires, choices, and meaning in life. My task is to provide you a safe space to discover your own answers and, thereby, reconstruct meaning in life, enhance personal cultivation, and improve personal and relational well-being.

EXPERIENCE EMPATHY.
Working through the layers of the unconscious and connecting with your psyche can engender feelings of vulnerability. I work to gain your trust in a safe, confidential setting.

BUILD AN ALLIANCE.
The strength of our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of our work together. To promote trust and respect, we remain mindful of our interactions in the here and now.

COLLABORATE TOGETHER.
You know more about yourself than any other human being. Our work encourages you to find meaning and purpose in life curiosity, inquiry, and discovery.

DISCOVER YOUR RESILIENCE.
Existential angst can prohibit personal and interpersonal growth. I help you understand where you have been and where you are going with intention and authenticity.

NURTURE YOUR WELL-BEING.
Wholeness is comprised of the Integration of your emotional, social, physical, spiritual, environmental, creative, and intellectual needs—giving rise to self-actualization.

SEEK PERSONAL GROWTH.
Each layer of your unconscious and conscious states holds its own realities. Our aim is to recognize the divine of humanity—opening the door to self-awareness and inner peace.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

The brightening of a client's face with new personal understanding.

A couple identifying and engaging in positive feedback loops.

A widowed person sharing a happy story about her marriage.

A dream that reveals the complexities of humanity.
