My Approach to Helping

Welcome to Art of Wellness Counseling, LLC. My name is Lindsey. I believe in creating a space that is warm, welcoming, and invites curiosity of self-exploration for children, teens, and adults. As a therapist, my role is to assist in the understanding and defining of your story. Symptoms are a guide to uncovering patterns in the context of your life: anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and relationship issues.

I’m fulfilled by creating a safe environment for my clients to freely explore and express themselves, helping them build skills to navigate the inevitable changes and hardships in life. I believe in the power of relationships and supporting a space in which my clients values, needs, and emotions are met in a way that is effective for them.

Deciding to start therapy can be an important milestone in life. It's a chance to work on yourself, find internal alignment, and become a more grounded and balanced version of yourself. This decision can be both exciting and frightening, especially for anyone who is new to the experience.

That’s why choosing the right therapist is so important.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW & LICSW) in both South Carolina and Connecticut. In session, I will emphasize a client-centered, strength-based approach and the practice of mindfulness-cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy, and narrative therapy.

If you think I might be able to help, and you are ready to move forward and find support, call or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
