My Approach to Helping

Maybe you have been struggling for a long time and are finally ready to get help. I'm here for that. And it really is a great day to begin or go back to therapy! To make it easier to get started, I schedule next-day appointments, take insurance, and offer affordable private pay rates for individuals, families, and couples.

I firmly believe in your good and your ability to heal, grow, and reach for your highest and best. I know how dark life can get, and I'm not afraid to go into the darkness with you if you need to. I believe life is truly beautiful and good, but that we cannot experience the goodness without coming to terms with reality and accepting the bad and the ugly sides of life as well.

I love working with people of all ages, families, and couples. I know that relationships can heal, people can change, and dreams do come true.

I'm neurodiverse and welcome and celebrate diversity, such as autism, ADHD, bipolar, mood diagnoses, personality issues, and developmental diagnoses. I look forward to helping you create a life that will not let a disorder hold you or your loved ones down.

I am blessed to work with traumatized men, women, and children and see my clients overcome fears and beat their depression and anxiety while they reach for their dreams.

I am non-judgmental and welcome you to therapy no matter what your past or present holds. If you are dealing with shame and guilt from your actions or someone else's actions, therapy can help.

If you are feeling "stuck" in life and cannot find closure, cannot move on, and are longing to move forward... or even just WISH you wanted to move forward, come on in.
Get in touch today and let's begin a new journey!

More Info About My Practice

I work with Palmer Counseling at the offices of True Counseling Health Services in Castle Hills. We are a full-service counseling office, with numerous therapists with a variety of specialties and therapy groups to help you and your family. If I turn out to not be the best fit for you, we have several other therapists who can take over and help you where you are.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Flaws and all, I absolutely love humans in all of our diversity, beauty, and strength. As a counselor, I have the great privilege of seeing people do their deepest self-work. It is a massive privilege to go with people through their darkness and see them light up with new joys. I've endured unspeakable struggles, made countless costly life mistakes, and worked tirelessly for years to earn the privilege of being a psychotherapist.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Choose someone you don't mind spending an hour with every week! The therapeutic relationship is scientifically proven to help people improve their lives, but it does require trust and time. Sometimes therapy is very hard work and you leave feeling numb with a headache and smeared mascara. Sometimes it is belly-laughs and snort-giggles and you don't want to leave. I know that I am not the right therapist for everyone, and that's a good thing, because there are some very special and amazing people for whom I am the perfect therapist fit.
