What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you’re here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by experiences that have left you anxious, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. I want you to know you don’t have to carry it all on your own. In our work together, my role is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can be fully yourself, explore your story without judgment, and begin to heal.
I use approaches like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), somatic practices, and inner child work to help you understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and to build tools for lasting change. Sometimes we will focus on practical strategies for managing stress in the moment, and other times we will go deeper to address the root of your struggles. Through it all, my style is collaborative and compassionate—I will walk alongside you, offering both support and honest reflection.
My goal is to help you reconnect with your own strength, build healthier boundaries, and move toward a life that feels grounded and meaningful to you.
My Practice & Services
Grounded with Andrea is built on the belief that healing happens when you feel truly seen, safe, and supported. As a solo practitioner, I keep my practice small and intentional so each client gets personalized attention and care. I currently offer individual and couples therapy, with a focus on trauma recovery, anxiety, burnout, and relationship healing.
My practice is fully virtual across Texas, with in-person sessions available in San Antonio. I accept most major insurances and aim to make therapy as accessible and seamless as possible. Clients can usually schedule within a week, and I offer flexible evening and weekend availability to meet busy schedules.
In addition to therapy sessions, I provide guided resources, coping strategies, and tools you can use between sessions to support lasting change. In the future, I plan to offer workshops and retreats that blend trauma-informed therapy with restorative practices to deepen healing.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love most about being a psychotherapist is witnessing the quiet and powerful shifts that happen when someone feels truly seen and supported. Every story is unique and it is an honor to sit with people in their most vulnerable moments, helping them find language for their pain, reconnect with their strength, and rediscover hope.
I love the privilege of walking alongside clients as they learn to let go of old burdens, embrace new ways of being, and experience themselves with more compassion and clarity. Therapy is not about fixing people. It is about creating space where healing feels possible, where resilience can grow, and where someone no longer has to carry it all alone.
