My Approach to Helping
Trauma can be understood as one of the following experiences: "too much, too soon", "too much, for too long", or "not enough, for too long". When you've had too much, not enough, or both, for too long in childhood, you miss out on the opportunities that other people get in normal development. This leaves you feeling ill equipped to handle every day life and can even leave you feeling like there's something wrong with you - why can everyone else enjoy this seemingly normal thing and I just can't seem to get it right? Everyone else has friends, a romantic partner, is dating, has an interesting life, why can't I?

I help people gain an understanding of what's happening inside during times of big emotions, when it's likely they've found themselves repeating patterns they wish they could stop. With this understanding, we'll develop a compassionate platform to help you change those old patterns and finally feel like you can get what you've been missing.
