Approach
As a counselor, she believes individuals need hope and to be empowered in order
to begin the change process. Her goal in counseling is to help clients discover
their individual strengths, identify and cancel out their dysfunctional thought
processes, and replace them with positive and realistic thinking. Keisha
believes many problems arise from poor communication patterns that have been
learned in the home through the years. In order to bring healing and hope to
individuals, these patterns have to be modified or replaced. Keisha utilizes
concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Rational
Emotive Behavioral Therapy to help clients in the change process.
