What's My Approach to Therapy?
I’m a licensed psychotherapist and PhD-level clinician who works with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), autism, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I take a real, down-to-earth approach to therapy—no pressure to be perfect, no judgment for struggling, and no pretending everything is fine. You don’t need to rehearse what you’re going to say or have the “right” words. You can just show up exactly as you are.
My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I use real conversation, evidence-based strategies, and a bit of humor to help clients feel understood and supported while we work toward change. Therapy with me isn’t rigid or cold—it’s human. We’ll explore what’s going on in your life, why patterns keep repeating, and how to create shifts that make you feel lighter, more confident, and more in control.
Many of my clients come to therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure about who they are or where they’re going. Some are managing anxious thoughts, negative self-talk, or burnout. Others are navigating relationships, identity, communication challenges, or big changes in their personal life. Together, we’ll build self-understanding, strengthen coping and communication skills, and work on creating a life that feels more authentic and manageable.
Before private practice, I served as a Clinical Director at multiple treatment facilities, working with both mental health and substance-use programs. I’ve also published peer-reviewed research and presented at national conferences, which helps me blend scientific knowledge with practical, real-life tools. But more than anything, I value genuine connection. My hope is that therapy feels like a safe space where you don’t have to hold everything together alone.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are, talk to you like a real person, and walk alongside you as you grow, I’d love to work with you.
