My Approach to Helping

I provide integrative treatment for anxiety, and mentoring for self-care. Taking an integrative approach means that I consider treatment options from a holistic perspective with an eye for offering what will be of service to each individual client. I include self-care mentoring in what I do because I realize that real life happens somewhere besides a therapist's office, and I want my clients to leave equipped with tools they can use to self-soothe and take valued actions towards the things that matter most to them. Based on your particular needs, we'll design a plan to help you take positive action on the values you most care about. I work with both women and men who are seeking relief from anxiety in all its forms. What I most want for my clients is that they reclaim a sense of purpose, passion, and presence so that anxious thoughts and feelings will no longer be a barrier to the quality of their lives.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

As a Graduate from the California Institute of Integral Studies, I strive always to take an integral approach to helping. This means that I am most concerned with doing what works, and that I will integrate whatever practices I have found to be pragmatic and useful for any given client.

Along with this, I value a wholeness based perspective that focuses not so much on problems as on the question of what total mental health and vitality would look like.
