My Approach to Helping
Sometimes our thoughts and emotions can feel too much for us to deal with. We may feel vulnerable, lost, torn or stuck, and find ourselves in need of help. Therapy allows us to gain an understanding of ourselves and creates a path towards positive change.
I am a professionally qualified and highly experienced UKCP Accredited Counselling Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, working with adolescents, adults and couples. My therapy practice is based in the United Kingdom.
My areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety & stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues, family dynamics, addictions, LGBTQ+, bereavement & loss, trauma & PTSD. I also have an interest in psychosomatic illness; how the emotion can affect the physical body.
I have over 10 years experience of working as a therapist with young people, students and adults at various well known treatment facilities across the United Kingdom; NHS, Mind and Tasha Foundation just to name a few.
My main training is Integrative Psychotherapy, which combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs and goals of the individual client. By combining psychological theory and research from CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, Transactional Analysis and Creative Therapies I create a flexible and tailor made treatment for my clients. The aim is to help clients identify the core of their emotional difficulty, so it can be resolved.
