My Approach to Helping
I am passionate about offering therapy that supports people to acknowledge what doesn't feel good, allow ourselves to desire something different, and create change that makes our desires a reality. In therapy, we will work together to help you better understand your emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and beliefs. We will draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you build coping skills, but we will go deeper, beyond symptom management, so that you can experience deeper, long-lasting growth and positive change. If you are ready to fully commit to investing in yourself, I am ready to support you.
You can expect to develop practical tools that provide relief in just a few sessions while also helping you better understand and address the emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and beliefs that may be holding you back. Clients who have been in therapy before but are troubled by unresolved issues often find that EMDR and hypnotherapy can be very helpful.
Therapy can be challenging, but I'm also committed to making sure it feels fulfilling and fun. We will work with emotions, body-focused approaches, and mindfulness.
