My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome! I believe that when someone is searching for a therapist, they want to find someone who will listen, not judge, and who is warm and supportive. One of my continual goals is to create a therapy environment where you feel comfortable revealing what topics bring you in, and where I can help you by listening, and using my training and years of experience to be the therapist you are looking for.
Areas of focus in which I am qualified include helping with anxiety, depression, adjustment to new circumstances (a recent move, a career change, end of a relationship, and other adjustments), problems in dating relationships, issues pertaining to not finding the right partner, grief and loss, and loneliness, particularly in the elderly. In addition, I am qualified to address topics pertaining to infidelity, affairs, or chronic pornography use, in yourself or someone you are close to. I hope you will give therapy a try. I am available to work with you. Making even small changes in a few areas of your life can bring amazing differences. I would like to help you on that journey.
Given that the pandemic has led to many clinicians offering teletherapy, this convenience is now preferred by many clients. After our first meeting, sessions thereafter can be via zoom. Sessions can of course also be in the office. I typically see clients on most weekday evenings, on Fridays between 9am and 4pm, and on some Saturdays between 9am and 12 noon. My office is conveniently located in Houston just south of the Galleria along the West Loop, at Bellaire Blvd.
While I am not on insurance plans, I will always provide an invoice, and sign any form needed for you to obtain reimbursement. My fee per hour (60 min) is $200.
All emails answered within 24 hours Monday through Saturday (except for holidays).
