My Approach to Helping
Are you experiencing unwanted feelings, undesirable behaviors or habits? Would you like to gain control over depression, anxiety, mood changes, frustration, or anger? Or do you have a desire to learn how to establish or repair relationships? My desire is to effectively help you learn how to address these things. I have worked with individuals who experienced dysfunction in their marriage and relationships, and within the family. My work with you will focus on helping you discover effective coping skills that will permit you to achieve the peace, strength, and comfort that you desire in your life.
I believe that as I support you through gaining awareness of external influences, examination of past behaviors and thought processes, and the development or enhancement of coping skills, you will achieve the changes you desire. I have worked therapeutically with couples and individuals, ranging from teens to seniors, and from various walks in life.
Unwelcome experiences that occur in life tend to yield unattractive results. Therefore, through exploration of self-perceptions, level of self-care, and your decision-making process, the changes that you desire may be pursued. I have worked with individuals who have had dysfunction in their relationships or issues with self-esteem, confidence, or self-worth to achieve the desired well-being.
