My Approach to Helping
Drawing on your inner wisdom, I use a client-centered and mindfulness-based approach to improve relationships. I focus on what is positive and working, while teaching strategies to improve interpersonal dynamics, as well as parenting skills. I am relaxed, easy to relate to, and often humorous in my approach.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Child TherapyParenting - Positive parenting is one of my specialties, sometimes in conjunction with child therapy or childparent sessions. I have developed a very effective curriculum based on positive parenting approaches. I help parents recognize their own strengths, as part of learning to recognize and build on children's strengths. Strategies are offered, to reduce conflict and oppositionality.
Divorced Parenting - Background in teaching parenting in divorced families, as well as providing support to children at an organization called "Kids' Turn" for years.
Social skills. I offer a unique, effective, and playful approach to build awareness through the role playing practice of social skills.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
When you know yourself better (through the wisdom of the body, mindfulness techniques, and regular practice and dialogue with a caring therapist), you can better assert yourself with others, leading to more satisfying relationships and greater happiness.
