My Approach to Helping
As a clinician, I hold firm to the belief that hardships occur at some point in everyone’s lives, and that every individual has the capacity to move passed the limitations of their circumstances. I specialize in helping people who are working to reach, and remain, in recovery from mental health and substance use related disorders. This includes trauma, mood and personality disorders, general and life event-related anxiety and depression issues, and co-occurring disorders.
I am a strengths-based and solution-focused practitioner. I utilize evidence-based cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, establishing collaborative goals with client voice that are time-linked and measurable, allowing for visible progress in our work together. I operate with understanding that clients are the experts of their lives, and that my job as a therapist is to hold space and offer clinical input as a witness to my clients’ journeys.
Together we can discover what is most helpful for you and tailor a plan to meet your specific needs. I am straightforward and flexible, working to learn your style and preferences and adjusting my style to meet you in the middle. I look forward to helping you restore balance and harmony in your life.
