My Approach to Helping

As an integrated therapist, my approach is highly customized for each client, and each session, depending on your needs in the moment. I pull from a wide range of techniques and styles, keeping our work together creative, collaborative and dynamic.

More Info About My Practice

Co-occurring Addiction Recovery and Relapse Prevention:
Substance use and mental health issues often go hand in hand, and staying sober takes effort. 12-step programs are encouraged and supported.

Support after Intensive Outpatient (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Programs:
Maintain and deepen your hard-won progress while setting new goals and managing the challenges they bring.

Families, Couples and Friends:
If mental illness is affecting a family member, partner, or friend, counseling can be a private space to sort through it all and receive support and practical guidance.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Mental illness runs in my family. Over the years, I have witnessed and supported those closest to me navigate the healthcare system, hospitalizations, medication changes, setbacks, and successes. I know firsthand what the daily work of mental health looks like. Having been in therapy myself for over 18 years, I have personally benefited from and deeply believe in every method I use.

Groups I Work With

    Healing is hard work.

Life would be much easier if we only faced one problem at a time. Instead, we are often handed a rough mix of stressful situations, emotional rollercoasters, and family conflicts—Sometimes all in a single day.

For those with the added burden of a mental health disorder, it can sometimes feel impossible. Getting some extra support can help you manage symptoms, find solutions, and create a life worth living.
