My Approach to Helping
I'm Harris, a psychotherapist, philosophical counsellor, and psychologist based in Edinburgh. I partner with couples and individuals to help them overcome challenges and lead better lives. I offer counseling in person and through Skype.
Because your problems and aspirations are complex and unique, I avoid one size fits all approaches. I tailor my style to your needs, developing a new style of therapy for each client. I draw coherently from my extensive knowledge of different psychotherapeutic approaches to develop creative and effective psychotherapy and coaching programs that are tailored and adapted to your specific challenges and goals.
I also offer a space that fosters a warm, accepting and empathetic relationship between us, because it is important that you feel safe and comfortable, so that you can open up and understand and process your painful experiences. I support you to heal so you can become who you are meant to be.

I have a diverse and extensive education, and have studied many healing disciplines and practices. I have pursued undergraduate studies in psychology, as well as post-graduate training in philosophy, autism, and psychotherapies including:

I have also completed post-graduate studies and certifications in philosophical counselling, through the American Philosophical Practitioners Association. My education is an ongoing pursuit. I am committed to continual growth as a healer, so I can better facilitate change. I attend continuing professional development seminars and workshops, and remain informed about recent developments in philosophy, psychotherapy, psychology, and contemplative practices.
