My Approach to Helping
Geri Beard-Chaney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor in Texas who has been practicing since 2001. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. Her experience spans more than 30 years in Psychiatry in inpatient care as well as outpatient mental health services. Geri sees adults individually as well as families, and groups. She enjoys working with a range of behavioral health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and trauma.
Geri utilizes an integrative approach specifically designed to meet the needs of the person situation and uses techniques from a variety of methods such as Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Outside of work, Geri enjoys arts and crafts, event decor, and choral music.
