My Approach to Helping
We each have strengths and some of them you know about. Therapy can enable you to discover some of your hidden strengths and put them to good use. My job is to use the tools in my toolbox to help you to increase your life satisfaction. I'm a solution and insight focused therapist.
We each have a unique life path and enabling you to walk your life path smoothly is one of the things I'm passionate about.
I believe in using life experience to create change, and I believe that you have untapped insights that will help you to create a new and stronger outlook on your life.
Together we can work to find ways of obtaining results that you are able to work with.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have worked with the disabled for most of my life. One reason is that I have a disability. I also believe that families who have disabled members have unique needs.
My work has also focused on the creative process with sand tray work. Many of my adult clients are drawn to the deep meanings they find using this method of self-discovery.
I also work with people, who for various reasons, find their faith beliefs shifting. They are discovering new types of growth within themselves and seeking new ways of viewing their past life constructions. This reframing process can be exciting and life expanding.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I believe in facing a problem in my life head-on. I don't run from it but rather seek to learn from what I'm facing. This is one of my great strengths. Because it is something I'm passionate about I also understand just how hard it is to face situations and overcome them. Many of my blog posts are very experiential. Knowing the theory is one thing but understanding the real-life issues, the fear of the process of change... that isn't theoretical at all: it is real. I bring this passion for change and growth to my work and I believe that I'm stronger for it and that my clients are helped by my attitude.
