My Approach to Helping
People-Pleasing gone wild? As an anxiety therapist, I identified 10 symptoms common to most anxiety sufferers, and people-pleasing is one of my 4 "P" symptoms (also Pain from the Past, Procrastination, and Perfectionism). Empathic and intuitive people value themselves typically by what they do for others. Once they stop serving others' needs, they themselves don't feel valuable or valued. If you help others at your own expense, it is time to start valuing yourself in WHO you are, not what you do. Even though you have likely achieved a lot already, I am asking you to invest more energy into your very nature. Working with me means that we are going to rewrite some of your backstories, those thought patterns that have been holding you back. Our subconscious thought patterns date back to childhood; those thought patterns were very helpful and protected you back then. Now, those same thought patterns are the problem and need to be reshaped. Through many tools that I love to use like narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and energy psychology, you will learn how to retell your backstories where the emotional baggage is removed and where you learn how to become your own therapist. I focus on short-term Solution Focused Therapy where you learn how to gift yourself with 3 essentials - grace, self-forgiveness, and kindness.
