My Approach to Helping

Lets face it..LIFE IS COMPLICATED! You and your family will benefit from my 30+ years of experience. Psychotherapy has been proven to be one of the best ways to alleviate pain, reduce distress, regain motivation, and restore family functioning. Hypnotherapy can be a way to modify distress, replace unhealthy behaviors, and find new levels of peace; all while relaxing in a comfy recliner. My professional eclectic approach to therapy combines cognitive, behavioral, and solution-focused modalities among others to collaboratively tailor therapy to meet your family's specific needs. Call me today for your free phone consultation.

Dedra Scow has worked with a wide variety of adult issues providing help to those suffering from chronic pain, depression, anxiety, ADHD, personality disorders and family dysfunction. Dedra was recognized as Texas' "Counselor of the Year". She has also secured status as an EXPERT WITNESS in Bexar and Travis counties.

Therapy services are offered in-office, in-home, by telephone and via the internet. Services can be billed by the 50 minute therapy hour. By providing flexible service delivery methods you can continue to meet your financial, family and employment obligations.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

One of the best aspects of being a therapist is seeing folks have those "light bulb" ah-ha moments - when they realize that they do not have to think or live the same way anymore. Seeing various family members over several generations allows me to already have a framework for those families and move much faster though the therapeutic process by getting them back on track to reach their goals and get back into leading a full yet well-managed life . I am passionate about mental health issues and psychotherapy because I know it works. One of the most difficult steps in the whole process is simply seeking help. I am sensitive to this and know that it takes great courage to make that first call. Please let me know if I can help. It is quite simply...what I live and love to do.
