Change is one of the hardest things that a person can face. Because it is an inevitable part of life, you need to be able to roll with the punches and cope with what life throws at you. Change can be a good thing, but when it is not I would like to help. Whether you are having difficulties at home, school, work, or all of the above, developing ways to cope is essential. Problems don't go away and often the longer you wait, the worse they get. Please feel free to contact me day or night to see if we could work well together. After all, problems never come at a convenient time.

More Info About My Practice

Finding the right therapist is not easy. Often, people get frustrated in their search and settle for a therapist they feel lukewarm about or give up the search altogether. I pride myself in providing an authentic, non-judgmental environment that facilitates change. No two people are alike, and a custom assessment and treatment plan is needed to understand where a person is coming from and where they want to go. Getting to know people and hear their personal stories is an honor. Being part of a person's transformation (whether big or small) is truly a gift. I look forward to working with you.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help

In order to provide the best care possible, I will ask some basic questions over the phone to get a general idea of your needs and if I am able to help. From there, we would schedule to meet for an assessment which typically takes 1-2 hours to complete. All of the information shared with me is kept confidential unless there is a safety issue.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I believe that my life experiences have played a crucial role in my abilities as a therapist. Although no two people have the same perspective when bad things happen, every person on earth feels pain at one time or another. Pain is part of the human experience and tests our fragility and resilience. Some of the experiences I have had label me as "a wife, mother, widow, parent of a child with disabilities, and a trauma survivor". These labels are not ME but they are a big part of who I am. I feel that having compassion and empathy are a big part of what makes a person relatable to others. I often draw from my personal experiences in order to reach a better understanding of a person and their situation.
