I am a therapist with a wide range of professional experience and training.I individualize my work with you according to your needs and wishes. This means that I ask you for feedback about how you are doing and how the therapy is working for you every time we meet. You should expect to improve and this improvement should not take a time long to notice. You are the only person who can answer the question "Is this working for you?" I adjust what I do in accord with your feedback.

I have a great deal of experience working with children, teenagers couples and families.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Meeting your needs and attending to whether you are getting what you want and need.

My Role as a Therapist

I am an expert on mental health issues and psychotherapy. I share that with my clients. You are the expert on your own life and what changes you want to make. Our work together is a collaboration.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

Your needs in seeking help take precedence. I pay attention to whether I am being helpful. If I am not, I will change what I am doing in collaboration with you.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Being skeptical about therapy is not a bad starting point. Trust should come from positive experiences. You should expect positive results. If you do not get them in a reasonable amount of time, the therapist should change what they are doing or help you find a therapist who is a better fit for you.
