My Approach to Helping
I am a therapist with a wide range of professional experience and training.I individualize my work with you according to your needs and wishes. This means that I ask you for feedback about how you are doing and how the therapy is working for you every time we meet. You should expect to improve and this improvement should not take a time long to notice. You are the only person who can answer the question "Is this working for you?" I adjust what I do in accord with your feedback.
More Info About My Practice
I am credentialed with all Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, Highmark Insurance products, Cigna, UPMC, United Behavioral Health, Optum and Aetna at this time. I am also credentialed with Health Choices plans: Aetna Better Health, Gateway Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, or UPMC for You. I am flexible regarding hours I have available including daytime, evening and weekend hours. I have a sliding scale for you if you do not have insurance or prefer to pay out of pocket for my services. I will provide a free initial consultation for you.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Being skeptical about therapy is not a bad starting point. Trust should come from positive experiences. You should expect positive results. If you do not get them in a reasonable amount of time, the therapist should change what they are doing or help you find a therapist who is a better fit for you.
