My Approach to Helping

I offer an eclectic approach to therapy that is tailored to the needs of the specific client. I work closely with my clients and really get to know them on an individual level so as to better understand what they are hoping to gain from the experience. I am a very compassionate and empathetic individual who provides a safe and comfortable environment for my clients to be vulnerable and feel unconditionally accepted. My therapeutic style is very supportive, nurturing, and honest. While it is important to provide warmth and care to my clients, I also think it wise to push them to challenge themselves so that they can initiate the change they are hoping for. I see the mind, body, and soul as a series of interconnected networks that have a profound influence on one another. I therefore view mental healthcare as a source of physical care as well. My ultimate objective is to provide my clients with the tools necessary to better their own personal circumstances. To do this, I ensure a good understanding of their struggles, concerns, hopes, and desires so that the treatment approaches implemented target their specific needs. While I do perceive psychotherapy as a science and art form, I do not believe in a one-size-fits all approach to therapy, and find it crucial to regularly check in with clients to ensure that any beneficial modifications to treatment are taken.

More Info About My Practice

Consultations (10-15 min): The purpose of the free consultation is to see if my therapeutic style aligns with what you are looking for in a therapist, and allows me to understand what you are hoping to gain from therapy. From here we can assess whether we are a good fit for one another, not just therapeutically, but also logistically. I would be happy to answer any and all questions you have for me. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email to set up an initial consultation.
