I have worked in the mental health field for 21 years and have been in private practice for 18 years. I know life can be challenging and reaching out for extra help takes a great deal of courage and strength. I understand how difficult it is to ask for help, and therefore, work to provide a place where individuals can feel safe, understood, and accepted. Everyone who walks through my door is unique, and therefore, their journey in life is unique. I respect where each person is coming from and work with them to help them grow and learn and move in a healthier direction. I don't tell my clients what to do, but help each individual explore options, look at different perspectives, and provide guidance and education to help them make decisions that are best for them. Life is a journey. Let me walk with you and give you support through your journey.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

The idea of coming to therapy can be scary and overwhelming. It can make it extra difficult to take that first step and call if you have had a negative experience. Don't give up. It can really be very helpful and when you find the right therapist, it can make all the difference. I try to help my clients feel as safe as possible. I believe it is very important to be accepted and understood and I listen to any concerns and address those immediately.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I believe that admitting you need help and making that first call for an appointment takes an incredible amount of strength and courage. Dealing with challenges in life can get overwhelming and asking for help takes bravery and determination. I am amazed by people's strength and resilience and see it everyday in my clients.
