My Approach to Helping
Many adults are living with undiagnosed ADHD. It is very common to not be diagnosed if you did well in school. You managed to stay under the radar and use your wits to survive and thrive. If there has been a recent life change or added responsibilities to your world, you may have started noticing your symptoms have now become unmanageable. This can often lead to stress and anxiety and maybe some unresolved trauma coming up. I am here to help you recognize and manage your symptoms with kindness and compassion.
My approach to helping is to simply meet you where you are. We all have friends and family that tell us "what you need to do". I want to hear what you think. I will provide you with the space and time you need to help you become the best version of yourself that you can be. I can offer feedback, a different perspective, and a listening ear. You are the expert on you.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
There is a reason you started searching for a therapist, perhaps you are tired of the status quo and you are ready to make a change. Therapy takes guts. You have already taken the first step and recognized that there are things you want to be different. The journey may be difficult but you are worth it!
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
So have I! I can't think of a bigger deterrent to therapy than a therapist that you just can't sync with. I believe the basis for good therapy is a good fit with your therapist. Don't give up! There is a therapist out there who fits with you and can meet your needs. Please feel free to call me. We can chat for a few minutes and see if we might work well together.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
The therapy process is just that, it's a process. It is difficult to measure and to predict how long this process will take, but it will happen, be patient with yourself. Your entire life has led you to where you are now, it will take time to work through that. The process is also difficult. It will bring up things that are sad or troubling. Keep in mind what you are working towards; happiness, fulfillment, life satisfaction, and being comfortable in your skin. With the process, there is also success. The process allows us to work together through your struggles and successes. There is a great sense of achievement and empowerment.
