I have had the honour of helping thousands of individuals through 15 years of counselling, 10 years of personal development coaching and speaking across Canada on emotional development, leadership and growth-mindset. I am passionate & commited to serving people like you.
I combine Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Extensional Therapy to help you develop the mental and emotional skills that allow you to be present and genuine, both with yourself and with others. These skills will help you learn to navigate & process challenging thoughts & emotions in ways that serve you and your purpose.
No matter what you're struggling with mentally, emotionally, or relationally, you will have the time & space to open up, heal, and cultivate skills. More Info About My Practice
I use Narrative & Existential Therapy, allowing you to share your story & experiences, providing validation, processing, healing, & learning from challenging memories. Then, I use Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to teach you how to live authentically and effectively in the present moment, enabling you to captain your emotional & mental ship rather than being at the mercy of daily fluctuations.
In your first session, you'll share your story, challenges, & goals; don't worry, I'll assist if you're nervous. Each session begins with your weekly update & topics of interest. Along the way, I'll teach you mindful thought & emotion management while highlighting your strengths, & insights. I like making the journey of addressing challenges an empowering and hopeful process. We have clients pay upfront for services. We will provide an emailed receipt for you to forward directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. It is always good to check your plan to ensure they cover psychotherapy specifically & to know the amount of coverage you have.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love about psychotherapy is that I'm continuously inspired by the bravery of those who face their mental and emotional battles head-on, choosing transformation over stagnation. My experience of the past 30 years working with thousands of individuals has deepened my understanding and respect for the human capacity to rise above adversity and the incredible potential for growth and self-discovery that lives in every person.
