My Approach to Helping
Mental health is intimately connected with every aspect of your life, your work, school, relationships, and overall well-being. You have just taken the first step to achieving balance and fulfillment, seeking support. In the next steps, I can offer a supportive space for you to explore your experiences without judgment and tools to cope with life's challenges. I work with adults, teens, and couples with a variety of concerns, but I specialize in highly effective treatments for alcohol and other substance use problems (e.g., nicotine, cannabis, cocaine addiction), OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ and non-monogamy concerns.
My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and empathic. I believe in using science to give you the most effective care possible, so I employ research-backed treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Therapy with me is client-centered, meaning your goals and values guide our work together. I focus on helping you identify personal values to achieve your “life worth living.” I believe that you and I are a team in your treatment: you are the expert on your own experiences, and I offer space for self-discovery and tools to help you thrive.
