My Approach to Helping
Life is difficult and often people need assistance to manage the challenges that they encounter. I welcome the opportunity to come alongside others to help them learn to think differently, acquire new skills and develop different perspectives on their problems, life transitions and relationship struggles. While part of the healing process often involves learning from our past, most of my work with clients involves focusing on “life in the present.” My job is to provide support, understanding, direction and skill-building. My therapeutic approach is flexible, based on the current needs of the client, and often includes helping people utilize their strengths, increase their self-awareness, and incorporate healthy coping skills to improve the quality of their relationships with themselves and others.
