My Approach to Helping
The journey we take in our lifetime should be lived joyfully and wholeheartedly. In the 8 years I've worked with children, teens, adults, and families, I've learned that to grow in all aspects of our life, we must first heal from within.
My goal is not only to join you in your journey, but to help you dive into the core of your problems so that we can, in a collaborative sense, explore and identify effective and useful strategies to overcome those problems. I've worked with individuals and families who have experienced extensive trauma andor trans-generational trauma passed down from one generation to the next, which has led to current issues with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and relationships. Battling such issues can feel lonely and exhausting, but it doesn't have to be this way, and I want to join you in your journey of healing.
I am a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist Diplomate with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I also work from an attachment lens and person-centered approach. I specialize in working with children and adults who've experienced trauma such as sexual abuse, physical/emotional abuse, and domestic violence. I believe that you are the expert in your life; hence, I follow your lead in the therapeutic process while providing guidance to self-discovery and positive change.
