My interpersonal style is warm, collaborative, and respectful so we can create a trusting bond that feels safe and comfortable. When appropriate, I can be gently playful or use humour - I make space for all emotions in therapy, including tears and laughter. My strengths-based and integrative approach draws from many approaches so that we can design a plan that works just for you.

I am educated and trained in a broad range of mental and physical health approaches and I have over 20 years experience as a health professional. After a degree in human nutrition and a brief foray into medical school, I became a dietitian and pursued additional graduate study in eating behavior and health psychology. Seeing the powerful benefits of working psychotherapeutically in my practice led me to complete another graduate degree in counselling psychology. Becoming a registered clinical counsellor has deepened my skills in cognitive, dynamic, and systemic approaches. I use a trauma-informed, holistic perspective that allows me to integrate mind-body approaches into talk therapy in ways that feel safe and manageable for my clients.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
People do not have to be in crisis or have a mental illness to seek the unbiased support of a professional counsellor. I am trained to assist those in severe distress or in urgent situations, but therapy can be extremely valuable during those times when you feel stuck, disconnected, lost, or simply "going through the motions".
