My Approach to Helping

Healing is possible! Whether it's for you individually, for your relationships, or for your family. I believe in you, and commit to working with you to find what you need. My treatment style is eclectic and "out of the box." I think creatively and will help you examine what might be the root cause of your difficulty because while band-aid approaches may help now, they simply do not last. I am passionate about two of the tools I commonly use because they work so well: EAGALA Model Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and the use of EMDR. EAGALA Model Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a brief yet highly effective approach that helps individuals & families find healing while working alongside horses (there is no riding). EMDR helps people reprocess traumatic events/adverse life experiences to experience lasting relief.

Unique to my practice, I am open to sessions in the comfort of your home. I hold office hours on Mondays in Blaine, and Tuesdays through Fridays I am at Acres for Life facilitating Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I love the work I do and would be honored to walk with you as together we move toward meeting your goals.

More Info About My Practice

For Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, I accept insurance. For home and office based, I offer a sliding fee scale when needed. It is very important to my practice that therapy services are available to all.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I enjoy working with a wide variety of people and issues, but do find a unique great joy in working with couples to help strengthen and heal their relationship. I believe there is tremendous healing potential here, along with the possibility to have a stronger partnership than had before. Whether it be strengthening communication and conflict resolution skills, finding the closeness again that was once had, or healing from the effects of an affair, I can help!

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

As I shared above, I love the work I do. I find the greatest joy in my ability to blend two of my greatest loves: horses and helping people. I get to work outside 365 days a year, with horses AND bear witness to people's incredible healing journeys. I am certain this joy in life and my career enables me to be an even better clinician, and to show up for my clients just how they need, whether it's in the pasture, their home or an office.
