More Info About My Practice
My approach is warm, open, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed therapies. I focus on client autonomy, strengths, and finding solutions, assisting clients in problem-solving and building skills to work through their presenting issues. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to talk, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and solutions.
I offer Christian integration if desired. I am actively engaged in my Christian faith and connect with clients from a Christ centered perspective, respecting and supporting clients from all backgrounds, faiths, and in all struggles. I uphold all professional and ethical standards and engage in evidenced-based clinical strategies to support client improvement. Clients do not need to share, practice, or integrate Christian faith to seek help.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have over 11 years of experience in both private practice and community settings. I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The client-therapist relationship is one of the most important aspects of successful counseling. All clients are entitled to engage in treatment with a therapist they feel comfortable with, are willing to open up to, and trust enough to hear information that is supportive and possibly challenging at times. A strong client-therapist alliance allows for effective and productive treatment and ensures progress towards goals. I work to build this alliance throughout treatment and encourage clients to consistently gauge and evaluate their experience, progress, and our therapeutic relationship to make sure they have the best chance at positive outcomes.
