What's My Approach to Therapy?

Welcome to my counseling practice, where I embrace a holistic and layered approach to therapy that is compassionate and comfortable. I integrate education with effective treatment planning to enhance self-awareness, empowering you to create the change you want and understand how it works. I believe in building collaborative rapport to explore concerns together and connect with issues as a team. Together, we will navigate and mitigate the dynamics that trigger stress and create challenges with solutions that work best for you. I genuinely value our professional relationship and follow up with clients throughout the week to discuss their progress and skill application, as this is where transformative change occurs. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Specialist, with certification training in mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, narcissistic abuse, grief, and addiction. I utilize empirically validated theoretical approaches and set measurable goals to improve your wellness. My practice is situated in a small, boutique-style setting that is private and designed for clients seeking a peaceful and nature-informed environment. I offer both walk-and-talk therapy on-site using a treadmill and traditional individual counseling sessions. Additionally, I offer wellness retreats that help clients cultivate new practices that foster self-efficacy, confidence, and positive change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward growth and healing. * Certifications above indicate successful completion of training and examination and are awaiting independent licensure.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As a 50-year-old, I draw upon a wealth of personal experiences to deepen my understanding of your struggles and the complex layers that accompany negative mental health symptoms. I have navigated tragic loss, raised a child with a disability, faced complicated health issues, and managed several difficult life transitions. These personal insights, combined with my professional expertise, enable me to connect with you meaningfully and support you in your journey toward better mental health. I find great fulfillment in helping you gain insight into your experiences and collaborating with you to address your concerns. Together, we will set meaningful goals and cultivate positive change in your life.
