My Approach to Helping

I hold a deep regard and compassion for each individual and the ways they have learned to survive. I view therapy as a collaborative journey towards integration of self and expansion of the potentials already inherent in you. In line with this, I aim for our work together to be as liberatory as possible. I see you as the expert of your own story and as holding the potential for your own healing. In our time together we can work to uncover what gets in the way of your inherent ability to flourish, be it internal, relational or rooted in the social environment in which we exist.
Utilizing a depth lens, we will work to unearth what holds you back from living fully, developing self-insight, feeling in alignment with meaning, and holding fulfilling relationships. I see my role as helping you to reflect on and develop a relationship with emotional and behavioral patterns carried over from past experiences that may no longer serve you.
In this work I am guided by existential, psychodynamic, relational and somatic modalities. I believe in an integrative approach that includes connecting deeply to one’s holistic self, utilizing mind-body interventions to deepen into self-awareness. We will explore how you can transcend your past experiences, moving towards greater agency and freedom.
