Mental Health in Oak Brook

The Oak Brook Police Department has pledged to support the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s One Mind Campaign. The campaign promotes cooperation between public safety organizations, communities, and mental health agencies. To join the campaign, the Oak Brook Police Department will pursue four goals over a 3-year timeframe. These include: 1) Partnering with a local mental health agency. 2) Developing and using a model policy for interacting with residents who have mental health concerns. 3) Training personnel in mental health first aid. 4) Providing crisis intervention training (CIT) to at least 20% of the agency’s officers.
