More Info About My Practice
Your ability and opportunity to come into the therapy space is also important. Sometimes you just can't travel to your therapist's office and that may be the time when you really want to talk. To deal with the complications of busy schedules, heavy traffic and bad weather, I offer HIPPA compliant secure video conferencing. Video conferencing requires that you have a private space from which to talk without interruption and a current operating system on your smart phone, tablet or computer. I can help you with a free download from a secure video conferencing company. You and I can discuss this option after we have established a therapeutic relationship. It is not right for everyone but it may be right for you.
In addition, I have two hypoallergenic therapy puppies that are friendly and helpful in reducing stress. They can attend your session upon request.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have been in your shoes. I had a diagnosis of PTSD when I was in my 20's and have also struggled with ADD, not realizing I had it until I was an adult. I also survived a bout with cancer. I know how it feels when life becomes overwhelmingly difficult, when fear, stress and immobility make it hard to move ahead and make changes.
Having grown up in a military family, I developed adaptability, flexibility and resilience, skills that helped me grow and cope over the years. You, too, have inner skills you can use to assist you in growth and renewal. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with a phone call. Let's talk. I think we can work together. All the best, Peggy
